MISSIONS OPPORTUNITIES
WCAG Life Team
L:eader: Colin Sims (ctsims2000@yahoo.com, 314-604-1225)
When: 3rd Sunday of the month - 12:30 PM Where: CLC Dining Room What: The Life Team exists to equip our congregation to be a Life-affirming witness to our community. We prayerfully and lovingly champion three primary Life interests: 1) Education; 2) Youth; and 3) Crisis Pregnancy. Our Life Team’s Gospel-driven mission is to support, promote, and participate in a wide range of local Life-affirming ministries that (for example): offer a prayerful and loving Life-affirming witness for those considering abortion; rescue sex trafficking victims; and provide a safe and nurturing home for pregnant teens with little or no resources. In addition, we recommend and coordinate with church leadership about guest speakers for Sanctity of Human Life Sunday; plan and sponsor our annual BreakDown St. Louis youth rally; and are a readily available resource on current Life events and issues. We have hosted popular Sunday School classes concerning Life topics, and organize Diaper Drives for local ministries that cater to new mothers. If you would like to experience exciting spiritual growth and fellowship as a disciple of Christ, and make a missionary-type difference in our community, then come and be blessed. |
Oasis International: BBQ for Refugees
Every month Oasis International hosts a BBQ for local refugees to enjoy a free meal along with some life-giving fellowship. This is an event for people of all ages to serve those in need while also making Kingdom connections. If you and/or your family are interested in serving at one of the monthly BBQ’s, please contact Pastor Brianna for more details.

Good Neighbor Initiative to Refugees
Be a friend to refugees who have resettled in the St. Louis area. Less than 10% of refugees will ever be befriended by an American, but you can help to change this! The Good Neighbor Initiative is an opportunity to show the love of Christ to a refugee family through genuine friendship and regular interaction, something they would likely not receive otherwise.
