Greetings WCAG Family,
What an exciting time we find ourselves in as a church family. I feel privileged to be a part of WCAG's unique journey during this sabbatical and believe that God is at work on so many levels. I have enjoyed preaching through Ephesians, discussing "The Church Through God's Eyes."
As you know, reading and discussing the Scriptures is only the beginning point for followers of Jesus. The real energy and activity comes when we step out in action. If I've learned anything about God in the last four decades it is that He is a God of action.
With that thought in mind, we, as a church, are taking inventory of ourselves as a body, believing that God has gifted every member with some level of apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, shepherding and teaching capacities. We also believe that each of us has what I will call more dominant ministry giftings in one or two of these areas.
Our three step action plan is this:
1) identify our ministry giftings,
2) develop our ministry giftings
3) activate our ministry giftings
These are all for the purpose of reproducing Jesus in the lives of people of every nation and generation.
The top of my message includes a button linked to a Five Fold Ministry Test that we are asking everyone to participate in. It is simple and straightforward and should only take 5 to 6 minutes to complete. There is also a button at the top linked to the CCB church form for you to submit your top two ministry giftings to the WCAG office.
I hope you are excited and expectant as to all that God is up to for us as individuals, families and as a church; I know I am. I believe as we do whatever it takes, even if, and then some, we will see God's Kingdom be established and expanded in ways we never before imagined.
Blessings,
David Godbout
