Evacuating Our Comfort Zone

The famous preacher Charles Spurgeon once said: "Every Christian is either a missionary or an impostor." That's a bold statement, but one worth our consideration. What makes it so hard to be a missionary? What makes it so easy to become distracted from the mission God has given us? Although there are many answers to that question, our comfort must be near the top of the list. Being a missionary forces us to leave the comfort of what we call home, and strike out into new areas. Come explore the comfort zones that keep us from being everything God has called us to be.

Evacuating Our Comfort Zone #3

In God's Kingdom, and particularly in the lives of His people, we must trust in His providence. We must evacuate the comfort zone of trying to undersatnd everything that happens and begin seeing our lives as deliberate manifestations of God's providential moving in our lives.

Evacuating Our Comfort Zone #2

This week I am speaking to the attitude of our hearts that will either guarantee our success or our failure. If we have the heart of a missionary, God will use us to change the world, no question. If we don't have the heart of a missionary, all the strategies and all the money in the world won't make a difference. So as we talk about this passage, I'm asking you to allow the Holy Spirit to work in your heart in whatever way He wants.

Pressed To Make Progress

Pressed To Make Progress will look at the sometimes unpleasant truth that some of the greatest times of growth in our lives come during some of the most difficult times in our lives. As we strive for a deeper walk with God, we must remember that he stretches us to get there, but is always faithful to see us through.
