Board Of Deacons

The Board of Deacons manages the business of the church and provides counsel and mutual assistance in the administration of the business and work of the assembly. Together with the Elders, they form the Joint Committee and work with the Pastoral Staff as the leadership team of WCAG. The following members make up our current Board of Deacons:

Barry Aldridge - Lay Deacon Chairman

Barry and Lynne have been attending WCAG for about 20 years and have been married for over 35. Barry has served as a Sunday school teacher and is currently a member of the Deacon Board. They have three lovely daughters, Tiffany Rhine, Dawn Bononi, and Misty Stiller (all married to great sons-in-law) and eight wonderful grandchildren. Barry started in financial planning in 1994 with a St. Louis-based company. In 2000 he formed his own company as an independent financial planner (Aldridge Financial, LLC), supported by Lynne and a small staff. They count it a privilege to work with and serve the people God entrusts to them. Barry holds the degrees of BSBA from UMSL and MBA-Finance from Lindenwood College. It is their hearts’ desire to serve God and their joy to be part of WCAG’s family!

Stan Roberts – Secretary

Stan has attended West County since the mid-1980’s. Stan and Carrie live in Chesterfield and have two young daughters. They have been involved with the music ministry and the nursery. Their parents also attend West County. They really enjoy being a part of a small group and encourage everyone that attends West County to become involved in a small group to get connected. Stan work as a pension actuary in Clayton and is a fan of baseball, particularly the Cardinals.

Dan Arnold – Treasurer

Dan and his wife, Lynda, have been married for nearly 25 years and have two boys that they are extremely proud of. Nathan is a sophomore at Mizzou, is studying business, and hopes to go to law school after he finishes his undergraduate studies. Clayton is a junior at Parkway South, is a great student, and plays for the varsity baseball team.  Lynda has truly been the joy of Dan's life and has been his biggest supporter through thick and thin. Most of all, he's thankful his entire family is serving the Lord. He's served the church in various capacities over the years. He's been a sound technician, video technician, Royal Rangers leader, and deacon. He's also participated in several small groups and prayer groups, which he thinks are vital to the church and instrumental in his growth as a believer.

Joe McClurg

Joe and Lynn have three daughters: Megan (8), Sarah (6), and Emily (almost 5). Lynn works as a nurse one day a month and spends the rest of her time as a domestic engineer and volunteers a lot at the girls' school. Joe works as a senior reseach chemist for the pharmaceutical group Covidien-Mallinckrodt in St. Louis. Joe has considered himself a Christian since he was a small boy. He feels that his walk wasn't always what it should have been and as a young adult remembers feeling 'burned out' on Christian stuff. For several years he ignored the calling God had on his life. He has made plenty of mistakes and had to face the consequences for many of them. Thankfully, God is full of mercy and grace and He continued to pursue him. Joe is now blessed to enjoy a wonderful Christian family and lead a life that is in constant pursuit of what God has for him. He says, 'I love Him more every day and look forward to eternity in His presence!'

Bob Bollinger

Bob and his family have been attending WCAG since 1998. During the time at WCAG, he has been involved with missions trips, teaching classes, Junior Bible quiz and Royal Rangers, as well as serving on the Deacon Board. He was raised in a small town in the mountains of Colorado. After attending one year of Bible college in Ohio, he transferred to Evangel University in Springfield, MO to continue his Bible education and play football. His senior year of college he met his wife, Penn,y and followed her to Ft. Worth, Texas. They were married in May of 1987. The company he worked for transferred them to St. Louis at the end of 1997. They have three children, all born in Texas: Bailey attends Evangel University, Chase is a Senior at Eureka High School, and Gracie is in eighth grade and attends Lasalle Middle School.

Dave Patient

Dave has been married to Janet for 30 years. They have three sons and four grandchildren. Their sons are Darrin, Damon (married to Sally, grandchildren Mary, John, Jack, Bradley) and Luke (married to Emily). Dave has lived in St. Louis all his life. They have attended WCAG since 1983 and been members since 1984. Dave served as a Royal Rangers commander from 1987 to 2003. He served as an usher for a couple years. Dave has been a deacon since 2010. He has participated in WCAG local and foreign mission projects over the years - Camp Penuel, Stepping Into The Light, Mexico, and Ghana.
