Adventurers' Ministry (55+)

The Adventurers, organized in 1991 for everyone age 55 and over, is still fulfilling its purpose to promote Christian friendship, fellowship, and ministry under the leadership of Wade and Marcy Schott. On the first Friday evening each month, we have a pot blessed or catered dinner with guest speakers. Our guest speakers have included missionaries, brunch at the Stookeys’, Pat Bradley of International Crisis Aid, and Lee Fitzmaurice, to name a few. We also have monthly theme dinners centered on different holidays. The dinners are well attended, and the fellowship is great!

On the third Tuesday, we have a day tour to a local or regional attraction. This activity is led by Jack and Sherry Lowe and Barry and Sharon Jenicek. Local tours this year have included a tour of McArthur’s Bakery, the Omnimax, the Botanical Garden, and the West County Fire and Rescue Station. As part of our tours, we always have lunch at a carefully chosen restaurant. Our tours are well attended. If you are 55 years plus, plan on joining us!
